Well, this year is positively whizzing by – the festive season is on the horizon, the nights are getting earlier, the heating is on, the hot water bottle filled. I have just a couple more weddings before I hang up my cameras for Christmas and I finally have time to look back at 2018 and start blogging some of the awesome weddings I was lucky enough to be a part of this year.
I love this part of the job, remembering these beautiful days and the people that enjoyed them, looking back at the photos I took, the ones I didn’t really notice until now and the ones that jumped out at me from the very first edit. The following wedding had a few of those – when we get a golden hour like this, you can guarantee a few good Wow shots!
Emilia and Luke kicked off my year at Redhouse Barn back in February.
I met Emilia at her sister Jo’s wedding in 2016 so was over the moon to get a call from her, knowing that this family have a great history in throwing brilliant weddings!
The day was crisp and cold with a beautiful blue sky, little did we know that The Beast From The East was on it’s way and hit just a couple of days after this! We definitely got lucky with the weather!
The day was filled with fun and laughter and I loved the little touches that Emilia and Luke had planned from the hot chocolate to warm their guests, the blankets for frosty toes and of course their gorgeous pup, Jasmine, in her beautiful flower collar.
If photos could warm your cockles, these would be the ones to do it, so grab a hot chocolate, get a hot water bottle under your toes and curl up with a good blog post!
