Getting Ready – The Calm-ish Before the Party

Getting ready on the morning of a wedding is where all the good vibes start.

The laughs, the excitement, and yes, even the chaos, it’s all part of the magic.

Whether it’s fixing a tie for the tenth time, wrestling with the perfect eyeliner flick, or popping some much needed fizz, these moments are pure gold.

Not to forget the smaller details too – the coolest shoes, comedy socks, Granny’s jewellery, and something blue borrowed from your best friend, I’ll be there to shoot it all!

Your nerves and excited anticipation are dancing to the beat of that magnificent playlist you’ve spent ages working on – I love this part of the morning, it’s the perfect warm-up for the day ahead, and the smiles are always 100% real.

The Little Things – Details That Make the Day

Weddings are full of tiny details that tell the couple’s story, and they deserve their moment in the spotlight! Think personalized signage, stunning floral arrangements, quirky table settings, or even an adorable cake topper.

It’s these small touches that make each wedding so unique. Plus, I’ve seen some seriously creative ideas this year – donut walls, signature cocktails, live event artists and even a dog in a tux (I’m always a big fan of making your pooch part of the day!).

The Ceremony – Tears, Confetti, and All the Feels

Oh, the ceremony – where all the emotions come flooding in.

That first look when one partner sees the other? Always a showstopper.

Tears, giggles, or just massive grins – it’s the moment that punches everyone right in the heart.

Then there’s the confetti.

The bigger the shower, the better the photos!

Whether it’s petals, paper, or something quirky, this moment is pure joy. Watching everyone cheer as you walk through a tunnel of confetti is just chef’s kiss.

Golden Hour Magic – That Perfect Glow

You can’t beat golden hour for those dreamy, romantic shots.

Whether it’s sneaking out for a few quiet moments as the sun sets or a spontaneous twirl in the evening light, this time of day always delivers.

The warm glow, soft shadows, and relaxed vibes make for photos that feel straight out of a fairytale.

It’s also when couples tend to let loose a bit – fed by a little wedding fun fuel, it’s when I get some of my favourite couple portraits of the two of you soaking up the day together.

Golden hour = pure magic.

Pure magic = some of the best wedding photos of 2024!

The Speeches – Laughs, Tears, and Cheers

The speeches are always a rollercoaster of emotions, and I love every second of it!

From hilarious stories that have everyone in stitches to heartfelt moments that bring on the happy tears, this part of the day is pure gold.

Whether it’s a cheeky best mate roasting the couple (in the best way possible) or a tear-jerking tribute to loved ones, the speeches always bring out the personalities and emotions that make each wedding so unique.

Plus, the reactions from the guests? Priceless.

The Party – Where the Real Fun Begins

Now we’re talking!

Once the formalities are out of the way, it’s time to hit the dance floor.

From romantic first dances to your mate’s questionable moves during a Beyoncé anthem, this part of the day is all about letting loose.

I’ve seen conga lines, epic dance-offs, and even a bride crowd-surfing!

There’s nothing better than a room full of people throwing shapes and celebrating love in the best way possible – feet sore, hearts full, and smiles for days.

Meet Lisa – Your Wedding Day Sidekick

Hey, I’m Lisa, and weddings are kind of my thing.

There’s nothing I love more than being right there in the middle of the action – capturing all the laughs, happy tears, and dance moves that make your day so you.

I’ve been photographing weddings for years now, and every single one reminds me why I do this.

Whether it’s helping calm last-minute nerves, pinning a buttonhole, or hyping you up for that confetti shot, I’m here to make sure you have the best day ever – and that your photos reflect just how awesome it was.

When I’m not shooting, you’ll probably find me diving into Netflix boxsets, indulging in a little retail therapy with my daughter, kitchen dancing to 80’s music or turning any business meeting into an excuse for cake and a cuppa.

Weddings, though? They’re my happy place, and I can’t wait to help make yours as unforgettable as it deserves to be.
