Kelly and Connor’s wedding at Mythe Barn was a beautiful celebration of love and laughter, set against the backdrop of late November’s fading autumn colours.

With the last of the golden leaves falling from the trees, their chosen palette of oranges and browns perfectly complemented the season.

Adding a whimsical touch to their day, they embraced a unique mushroom theme that tied everything together beautifully.

I knew from the moment I arrived that this one was going to be a joy to shoot and it’s days like this that keep me loving this crazy little job!

MYTHE BARN BRIDAL PREPARATION ROOMS

The day was brimming with emotions, and it wasn’t just the women shedding tears – some of the most heartwarming moments came from the men. I’ll admit, moments like these even tug at the strings of my (not-so-cold) heart!

One standout moment was Kelly’s dad’s reaction to seeing her in her dress for the first time. His tears of pride and joy set off a chain reaction, leaving hardly a dry eye in the room – myself included.

Stay tuned for the photos in this blog post that capture these unforgettable moments, from tearful embraces to the laughter that echoed throughout the day.

MYTHE BARN CEREMONY ROOM

Nestled in the heart of the countryside, Mythe Barn is truly a dream venue for any wedding. Its thoughtful layout ensures a seamless flow from one part of the day to the next.

The ceremony room always looks beautiful and for a wedding photographer, is a bit of a dream location, with the natural light flooding in from the double doors giving the perfect setting for Kelly and Connor to say their “I Do’s”!

CONFETTI AND CHAOS

One of my favourite features is the confetti tunnel at the front doors, which makes for such a joyous and picture-perfect moment.

I love how perfectly chaotic this can be, or as I say, “chaotically choreographed” because I’ll be making sure you’re heading in the right direction, your bouquet won’t be covering your face and that none of your guests will chuck their wine instead of their handful of confetti!

No-one needs a wedding dress covered in champagne, not as this stage anyway!

And when it comes to portraits, this venue doesn’t disappoint – there are so many stunning spots around the grounds to capture those intimate, just-married moments.

Whether it’s under the canopy of trees or against the rustic barn walls, every corner seems to be made for magical photos.

THE WEDDING BREAKFAST

Kelly and Connor decked the room out beautifully, in their chosen autumnal colours and with a cute mushroom theme, giving a lovely warm, relaxed and fun vibe as the day turned to evening.

The speeches were heartfelt and had everyone crying, yes, this was a wedding full of the best type of happy tears from beginning to end (my favourites to photograph!) and there was of course, huge big belly laughs too!

And a moment for the food please – it’s always top-notch at Mythe – I’m lucky enough to have sampled the dinners many times, which keeps me full, happy and raring to go for the rest of the evening. A huge thankyou to my lovely coupes that have kept me fed and watered, it doesn’t go un-noticed and is hugely appreciated!

DANCE FLOOR SHENANIGANS

When the sun went down, the dance floor lit up! From the very first song to the last, it was packed with guests bopping the night away. One of the highlights was, without a doubt, the Dad-and-daughter dance. Given the bond these two share, I wouldn’t have expected anything less – it was a mix of fun, emotion, and a whole lot of love that had everyone cheering them on.

As the evening came to a close, one thing was crystal clear: Kelly and Connor are perfectly suited for each other. They’re like two pieces of a puzzle that fit together effortlessly, complementing each other in every way.

Watching them laugh, support, and love each other throughout the day was a reminder of what a wedding is all about – celebrating a connection that feels like it was always meant to be.
