Katie and Pritesh were married in May at the beautiful Coombe Abbey Hotel. Starting with a civil ceremony in the medieval room, Katie looked absolutely amazing in her ivory wedding gown and Pritesh in his smart blue suit.
They then changed for the Hindu ceremony and gave me my first experience of an Indian bridal preparation. I’d been looking forward to this and it didn’t disappoint! I was in my element and loved every second!
It was my first time photographing a Hindu ceremony but as Pritesh and Katie reassured me, it was theirs too! 😉
So with none of us quite sure what was about to happen, I had to be ready for anything and everything!
The Hindu ceremony was a blast, it was so involving and was a fantastic change of pace for me. I especially loved the hand-tying, so colourful and full of meaning. All of the traditions were a complete learning experience and I had to learn quick but it was fantastic and I can’t wait for the next one!
Katie’s sister and Mother also wore sari’s for the second ceremony and the rich colours against the backdrop of this stunning venue worked perfectly.
Congratulations again Katie and Pritesh and thanks so much for inviting me along and trusting me to shoot your amazing wedding xxxx
