Jeanette and I have known each other for a long time, almost as long as she and Roo have been together. Which is a very, very long time!
After an engagement of sixteen years (!) and two beautiful children, Rudy and Jasper, they decided to tie the knot and celebrate their wedding at Cliff Lakes Waterski Centre.
Now, I’ve photographed weddings of every sort at every type of venue – stately homes, barns, back gardens, hotels and village halls but a water ski centre was a new one for me!
The one thing that great weddings have in common, regardless of where they take place or what the style of the wedding is – happy, relaxed party people having an awesome day and night – and this was no exception.
There were so many amazing locations for photos – my favourite being the jetty (it did give me the jitters thinking of that spectacular bridal party collapse video – check you tube if you haven’t seen it already, especially when we started rocking from side to side and Jen had to lose the Louboutins until we’d finished shooting)!
I didn’t stop clicking all day, pushing for “just one more” at golden hour – I’m so glad I did, the light was perfect and I caught a lovely portrait of a beautiful new family and gave Jeanette and Rupert (and little Rudy) some time alone, sitting on the dock, just married, about to start a new journey together 🙂
This was a pretty perfect summer wedding and I’m honoured to have been a part of it, thanks Jen and Roo and congrats again xxxx
