Valentines Day. Could there be a more perfect day to get hitched?
Dean and Sam were engaged on Valentines Day (as was I!) and married exactly one year later at St Nicholas Church in Kings Norton.
Wearing an amazing vintage wedding dress and a brand spanking new pair of blue Rachel Simpson shoes, Sam arrived at the ceremony in her own Figaro – my favourite car of all time and just the perfect vehicle to deliver the bride to the wedding 🙂 with her bridesmaids arriving in a Volkswagon Campervan.
Dean looked pretty dapper himself in blue tweed with a red tie to complement the roses in Sam’s bouquet and his ushers all added to the look with blue ties and a red rose on their lapel.
You’ll notice in the photos that Sam started the day with a single red rose. After the ceremony her bridesmaids handed her each of their own single roses to make up Sam’s bouquet, which is such a lovely idea and a really sweet way to involve everyone in the ceremony.
Afterwards, Sam, Dean and myself took a little stroll down to the canal for some photos and a very kind couple let us hop onto their boat for a few portraits. It was incredibly cold but such beautiful light, Sam and Dean were very generous with their time for the photos and we made the most of it!
Their reception party was held at The Kitchen Garden Cafe in Kings Heath, a stunning little cafe, well worth a visit if you’re ever in the area.
They’d decked the venue out with fairy lights and it was the perfect setting to end a really beautiful day full of little fun details and lots of love and laughter.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Coleman, wishing you both a wonderful life together xxxx
