When Abbi contacted me about their wedding, she was very quick to tell me that they didn’t want anything too fancy, didn’t want full day coverage and neither liked having their photos taking. They were just heading to the registry office and then back home for a party in the garden after all.
Needless to say, I wasn’t expecting this!
Their beautiful house, with a garden stretching back towards the glorious surrounding fields, was the setting for this little low-key party!
If this is how they party under the radar, I’d love to see them put on a big bash!
It was a beautiful day, with beautiful people. Their friends and family all joined them to celebrate with summer cocktails and amazing food from The Wild Oven and right before I left, they donned their wellies and let me drag them into the field at the end of the road for a little portrait session just as the rain started. A little bit of wet weather couldn’t have dampened spirits at this party!
This is how summer weddings should be and if all “little” weddings were like this, I’d be happy to shoot every day!
