It is agreed that the following terms and the contract set out the entire agreement made between the parties and that no variation or modification of the contract shall be effective unless agreed by both parties in writing.



A Booking Fee of £300.00 is required at the time of booking together with this contract and booking fee.

Dates are reserved only when this booking fee is paid and funds have been cleared.

The Booking Fee is non-refundable.



The remaining balance is to be paid 6 weeks before the date of the event. All payments must be received in cleared funds prior to the event.

Failure to make payment by the dates stipulated may result in cancellation.

BACS payments are preferred and can be paid to the following account :

Where payment is to be made by a third party, the parties acknowledge that they shall remain responsible for any balance outstanding in respect of the contract.



Lisa shall be granted artistic license in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used.

Although every effort will be made to comply with your requirements, the photographers judgement regarding the location, poses and number of photographs taken shall be deemed correct and not subject to dispute.

For events involving a church ceremony or at certain other venues, Lisa’s movements are sometimes restricted by the minister or official in charge : photographing of parts or even all of the ceremony on occasion may be restricted or prohibited, as may the use of artificial lighting. Lisa cannot accept responsibility for limited coverage in such circumstances.

Whilst Lisa shall endeavour to fulfil your requirements, she cannot be held responsible for non-availability of subjects or adverse conditions which may delay the progress of proceedings, preventing the coverage of certain specified shots.

Distances (more than 60 miles from Lisa carpenter Photography) will incur a surcharge or 45 pence per mile or other travel fares and accommodation may be required on a. cause by case basis.

Lisa Carpenter is to be the sole professional photographer (stills) at the venues specified, along with the second shooter (if requested in advance).

Second shooters and assistants will be chosen by Lisa Carpenter Photography and the decision will be deemed correct and not subject to dispute.

Lisa (and second shooter/assistant if part of package) will require a hot meal (Lisa – dairy free due to allergy) during the wedding breakfast (either at the venue or at a nearby establishment if a meal is not being provided.)

This is not applicable for short coverage weddings where the end of coverage is prior to the wedding breakfast.

Some venues happily supply vendor meals – please ask your wedding planner if this is an option.

if any conditions arise which prevent Lisa from photographing the wedding to the best of her abilities, Lisa will make every effort to proceed, however, if such interference continues, it is within Lisa’s discretion to cease work.



The clients allow Lisa to display images from the event and to generally promote Lisa Carpenter Photography by means of advertising, publicity material, websites, exhibitions, competitions, magazine articles, blogs, Facebook and other such media, providing that the images are used lawfully and without damage to the client.

By signing this contract you consent to the use of such images. If you do have stipulations regarding this clause, please contact me before signing.

Lisa Carpenter Photography occasionally shares images from your wedding with other wedding suppliers that you have employed.

Wedding blogs and magazines may contact me to ask for permission to feature your wedding, I will always check with you that you are happy for the wedding to be displayed in this way.

Images placed in client galleries within the website are password protected and not available to the general public in the normal course of events.



Whilst every effort will be made, Lisa cannot guarantee exact colour matching and is not held responsible for any colour variations which may occur due to light and location variations.

Due to limitations of computer monitors and variations of computer operation systems, it is understood that images viewed via this method may appear differently according to the specification of each monitor/computer and that prints may not match images rendered on any particular computer monitor.

Only quality branded USB’s are used (unless digital download has been requested) and each is checked prior to delivery. However, it remains the responsibility of the clients to check for in-transit damage.

Lisa cannot be held responsible for damage to equipment resulting from defective media.



Retouching and digital manipulation is included where required in all photography packages.

Extra retouching can be outsourced at extra cost to the clients.

Once supplied photos can be printed for personal use but cannot be modified, sold or published without prior written consent from Lisa Carpenter.



In the event a product (such as an album) is no longer available a suitable alternative of similar quality will be offered.

Any surcharge resulting from the order of a new product following rejection of a replacement will be the responsibility of the client.

Albums, if part of the package, must be ordered within 6 months from the date of the event.

After this time, extra costs may be incurred due to increase in price from manufacturers.

Digital files will be stored by Lisa for a minimum of 12 months after the event date.

There is no guarantee they will be kept any longer and any damage to said files due to circumstances beyond Lisa’s control will not be the fault of the photographer.



To allow for post-production and editing times Digital Files will be ready to view 21-28 days after the event, allowing an extra 14 days for peak season weddings.

Products other than digital files are bespoke so take an average of 6 weeks to create from the point where the client approves the order of the product.



Any negatives/digital files shall remain the sole property of Lisa Carpenter at all times.

All completed albums and products shall remain the property of Lisa Carpenter until full payment is received.



Any images or copies of images, whether stored digitally or otherwise and any computer program including any source or object code, computer files or printed documentation relating to such images are protected by the Copyright and Design Act 1988 and remain the copyright of Lisa Carpenter Photography at all times unless there is express written agreement to the contrary. It is contrary to the Act to copy or allow to be copied photographically, electronically or by any other means an image created as part of this contract without the written permission of Lisa Carpenter Photography. Images cannot be sold or used for publicity by anyone other than Lisa carpenter Photography without written consent.



In the unlikely event that Lisa carpenter is unable to attend your event due to unforeseen circumstances, Lisa carpenter Photography reserves the right to appoint another suitable photographer(s) where possible, to attend the event on her behalf to undertake the photography to the best of his/her ability.



Lisa Carpenter will maintain Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance at all times. However, in the unlikely event of a total photographic failure or cancellation of this contract by either party or in any other circumstance, the liability of one party to the other shall be limited to the total value of the contract.

Neither party shall be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.



A Force Majeure event, meaning an event beyond the control of Lisa Carpenter including, without limitation, acts of God, storms,, floods, riots, fires, sabotage, civil commotion or civil unrest, interference by civil or military authorise, acts of war or armed hostilities or other national or international calamity or one or more acts of terrorism or failure of energy sources.

In this unlikely event, the contract is subject to alteration or cancellation.

For the avoidance of doubt, it does not include circumstances where Lisa Carpenter attends an event to perform the services requested and any of the parties fail to attend.



If Lisa has to cancel the Event, due to circumstances beyond her control (death, injury, sickness) , her liability will be limited to a full refund of all monies paid. Every effort will be made to find an alternative, qualified photographer.

Should the Client wish to cancel this contract at any time, Notice of Cancellation must be given in writing to Lisa Carpenter.

It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure the Photographer has received this notice.

In such circumstances, the Client will be liable to pay Lisa the following sums –

Within 14 days of book – no fees payable.

Notice received 365 days prior to the wedding date or more – Booking Fee only.

Notice received less than 365 days but more than 182 days – 50% of the agreed balance due will be payable.

Notice received of 182 days or less – 100% of the agreed balance will be payable.

Where no package has been selected or final price agreed upon in writing on the original booking form, the agreed balance will be accepted as being the price of a standard full coverage package at £1,800.

Where Lisa is unable to accommodate alternative arrangements (such as change of ceremony date and or venue) she is not liable to compensate the Client(s) in any way whatsoever.

Where an Event is postponed until a later date and, subject to the alternative date being available, all money paid may be applied to the new Event.

Such action will result in the termination of this contract and the start of a new.

Extra costs may be incurred as dictated by the change in circumstances and the annual increase in price of packages and collections. In this case, the total fees chargeable shall be the fee that applies at the time of the the new contract.



All complaints should be raised by the Client directly to Lisa Carpenter in writing within 14 days of the occurrence which gives rise to the complaint.

Lisa will consider the complaint and shall provide a response to the Client within 14 days of receipt of that Complaint.



The parties irrevocably agree any dispute arising out of this contract shall be governed and construed in accordance with English Law and that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim.


Lisa Carpenter Photography is fully GDPR compliant and as such when you submit your enquiry and booking form to me you acknowledge and provide your consent to the storage and use of your personal data only for use in the day to day operation of administering your enquiry. Your data may be held on my CRM software for up to 3 years. I will remove all data upon request as required by GDPR. By reading these Terms and Conditions, paying the Booking Fee and submitting the Booking Form you are agreeing to abide by the terms and conditions set out on this page.

Any alterations made to this Contract by the Clients once details have been confirmed may only be made at the discretion of Lisa Carpenter Photography and should be agreed in writing.
