Press photographer Lisa Carpenter lived in Manhattan from 1999 before returning home to the West Midlands this summer.
Her images for London's GUARDIAN, THE TIMES, TELEGRAPH, SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, SCOTSMAN and DAILY MAIL among many others have allowed her to travel the American continent.
She has shot portraits of countless superstars, outlaw bikers, lusty strippers, Nobel Prize winners, martyrs, eccentrics and the odd evil genius. She continues to enjoy commissions from prestigious magazines including TIME, COSMOPOLITAN, Q, MARIE CLAIRE ITALIA, NME, HEAT, THE AGE MAGAZINE, HELLO, WOMAN'S DAY and BIKE.
Her international corporate client list includes AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL, VIRGIN RECORDS, CLINIQUE, SONY BMG, RANDOM HOUSE, SUB POP and BBC AMERICA.
Carpenter's work graces the covers of best-selling books, CDs and her more alternative images have now been exhibited in three acclaimed gallery shows in New York including the SPACE GALLERY and CLOCKWORK APPLE with another upcoming solo show commissioned for November 2008 in New York's gallery district of Chelsea.
